The lowbed wagon was built by the Auckland Regional Council in 1992 to carry a Gunite machine which is used to spray gunite (concrete) to line the tunnels carrying the water pipelines in the Waitakere Ranges, west of Auckland, New Zealand.

It has since been use to carry a small mini digger before being fitted with the hopper. The hopper holds approximately 1000 kg of gravel.

The prototype is 610 mm gauge but due to its small size it is an ideal wagon to run on 381 mm gauge for Gn15
