We start with an overall frontal of Red Fox. Note the irregular outline of the back scene. No sharp corners or straight edges to intrude on one’s meditation of the work of art. The roller coaster is based on an image of one in Vancouver B.C and sets the scene quite nicely.

The park train passes with the Bachmann 0n30 Porter heading a short train of Chivers Finelines Shorty 0n30 stock. Note that the figures look as if they belong in the setting and are not intruders. The Red Fox keeps an eye on things from the top of the hill on the right.

Most of the visible trackage is seen in the next photo. The two pigs are Porky and Bess. An amusement park gives one great licence! The park train is headed by a Bachmann 0n30 0-4-2T Porter while a scratchbuilt Lister sits on the siding.

Our next snapshot has Sidelines products on display! From left to right a Gnat, a Midge with a Gnomy tipper body, and a Hornet.

The layout is a horizontally flipped version of Steve Bennett’s Black Cat Mine with a bit more depth enabling two sidings to be added at the rear.

Our final photo The Lister on the left is scratchbuilt from styrene and wood on a cut down Bachmann 0n30 trolley mechanism. The Porter was modified by cutting an opening at the back of the roof and putting two planks on the top of the bunker for the driver to sit on. Note how realistic the figures look. The grass is airbrushed fake fur. The fox is actually a wolf in fox clothing. [Red Faux then Brian? -EH]
